I am participating in BAREHANDS RESIDENCY, an artist-in-residence program in Malaysia. It was made possible with the support of various staff and organizations, with local artist Juhari Said as a mentor. The studio is located deep in the jungle, about 40 minutes drive northeast of Kuala Lumpur. I am currently working on a site-specific work related to the mythology of the Malay Archipelago. The solo exhibition will be held at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia in Langkawi. During the period of the exhibition, I will also be able to join a residency program organized by the museum on a fly-in basis. My total stay in Malaysia will be from August 16 to September 15. More details about the solo exhibition will be announced when decided.

マレーシアのアーティストインレジデンス「BAREHANDS RESIDENCY」に参加しています。現地アーティストのJuhari Said（ジュハリ・サイード）をメンターに、様々なスタッフや団体にサポートを頂いて実現しました。スタジオはクアラルンプールから車で40分ほど北東に進んだジャングルの奥地。現在、マレー諸島の神話と関連したサイトスペシフィックな作品を制作中です。個展はランカウイ島のマレーシア国立美術館で開催。また、期間中は同美術館が企画するレジデンスプログラムに飛び入りで参加できるとのこと。トータルのマレーシア滞在期間は8月16日から9月15日まで。個展の詳細が決まりましたら改めてお知らせいたします。
